Jim, quickly realizing what’s going on, enlists Dwight to come spray the room for bed bugs, hoping the toxicity will scare Cathy away. Dropping by his room unannounced, and in pajamas that are more revealing than comforting, she begins the age-old art of seduction - by asking Jim to share his room while her air conditioning is broken. In B-plot land, Cathy finally ramps up her plot to bed poor ol’ hapless Jim. (Except for Dwight’s line about the history of the Schrute family: “They were farmers, and before that hunters, and before that time travelers, and before that me again … or at least that’s how the legend goes.” The Office can always count on a good time travel joke to lift my spirits.) Like Packer, it just left a bad taste in my mouth.
